Intensive Counseling Program
For individuals and families seeking deeper, immersive support in a focused environment.
Overview
This Counseling Intensive offers a structured, focused week of biblical counseling for individuals, couples, and families seeking deep personal transformation through the ministry of the Word. Rooted in the convictions of the Anabaptist tradition and a high view of Scripture, the intensive guides participants through a process of understanding their life story, examining the heart, and applying the Gospel to areas of suffering and sin, culminating in a practical integration plan for long-term growth and healing. Recognizing that God created us as embodied souls, this intensive includes rhythms of rest and bodily awareness to support lasting heart change. We strongly encourage counselees to come with an advocate—someone who can walk alongside them in their counseling journey. While it may not always be possible, having an advocate can provide significant emotional and spiritual support during the intensive.
Cost and Accommodations
The Anabaptist Discipleship Center will provide comfortable lodging for counselee’s, ensuring a peaceful environment conducive to rest and reflection. While lodging is included in the cost, counselees are responsible for providing their own meals, allowing for flexibility with dietary preferences. Please note that transportation is not included. Application Process
To ensure each intensive is tailored to your needs and provides the greatest opportunity for healing and growth, we ask that you complete the following steps before finalizing your scheduled dates:
Complete the Pre-Intensive Questionnaire and Life Story Form
These forms help your counselor understand your background, goals, and areas of need. They are an essential part of the preparation process and must be submitted before your intensive can be confirmed.
Secure a Personal Advocate
We encourage each participant to identify an advocate—a trusted person who can provide emotional and spiritual support during the intensive. Your advocate may be a pastor, mentor, or mature friend. While we strongly recommend this step, we understand that it may not be feasible in all situations. If this presents a challenge, please reach out to the center to discuss possible exceptions.
Submit Non-Refundable Deposit to Reserve Your Date
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your counseling dates. This deposit will be applied toward the total cost of the intensive and must be received before your dates can be confirmed.
Introductory Meeting with ADC Leadership and Counselor
You will have a virtual or phone meeting with the ADC Executive Director and your assigned counselor prior to the intensive. This conversation is an opportunity to begin building connection, clarify expectations, and address any questions or concerns you may have.
